We believe in honouring all kinds of alternatively family building and believe all are equal.
New hope was created by identifying gaps in the alternative family building community support services, one of which was the lack of options available for parents who found themselves with remaining embryos after their family was complete.
In speaking with clinics we realized that the amount of embryos resting in storage is nearing crisis level.
Up until now if parents had remaining embryos their options were to, donate to science, destroy, or continue storing. We also know that often when a hopeful parent has exhausted their embryos they close the door on having a family. We believe there is another way, and with the right support, and guidance many more people can find their way to parenthood.
Embryo Recipients
We want to start by saying thank you for considering including us in your family building journey. Embryo recipients are individuals or couples who are open to building a non genetic family.
Our support will includes:
- Consult with our Counsellor
- Recipient support worker
- Coordinating services for the clinical and legal process
Total agency fee is $2,000 including HST
Donating Parents

When a parent decides to donate their remaining embryos the first step is a conversation with our in-house counsellor. This provides an opportunity to understand all the potential emotional implications and ensure the donating parents are connected to our counsellor for any future support needs. Following that appointment, we will connect you with our lawyers who will offer you a consult to ensure you fully understand all the legal steps involved.
Once the decision to donate has been made, we will contact the clinic and support all communication between donor and recipient.
New Hope believes in an open approach to embryo donation, one that celebrates the child’s whole story. Additionally, we advocate for an approach that allows children and parents access to information regarding genetic origins.
